Parasite & Bacteria Blasters

25Aug

Give parasites a one-two punch by blasting bad bacteria with lemons, limes and spices such as garlic and cinnamon. These spices have anti-parasitic properties.

When we eat processed food, it is usually made with a lot of corn syrup and our body turns all sugars, starches, grains, and even fruit into glucose for digestion. Glucose feeds the normally occurring yeasts and parasites, which then causes them to multiply quickly and in great numbers, resulting in an overgrowth of parasites causing a parasite or yeast infection.

Medicines such as hormonal birth control pills and antibiotics can destroy the beneficial bacteria we need to keep yeast and parasites at bay. An overgrowth of parasites and yeast have been associated with certain chronic conditions, and if left untreated for a prolonged period of time can cause:

  • infertility or permanent fertility damage;
  • malnutrition;
  • vitamin deficiencies;
  • chronic fatigue;
  • skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis;
  • insomnia and sleep disturbances; and
  • digestive problems.

Citruses are great for cleansing, and as mentioned under immune boosters, they are also highly alkalizing for the body.

They are powerful detoxifiers and natural antibiotics that improve liver function, relieve constipation, help dissolve kidney and gall stones and can kill certain intestinal parasites.

Apple cider vinegar is an everyday home remedy that is effective in reducing excess parasite and yeast (which causes candida in women, although men do get yeast infection). Apple cider vinegar is not to everyone’s taste; so starting with a small dosage, like one teaspoon 30 mins before each meal and increasing to one tablespoon once you get used to the taste is a great way to keep parasites numbers down.

The population of bacteria in our gut should be balanced out and not destroyed as we do need good bacteria for digestion and other health giving properties. After a yeast or parasite infection has been treated or after a course of anti-biotics, we should replenish the gut with good bacteria. A good low fat yogurt or yogurt made with kefir is great for the probiotics that will help restore good gut bacteria. By supplementing your gut with probiotics, the balance between good and bad bacteria can be maintained and healthy gut function restored, keeping bad bacteria and parasites at bay.
