While we do not practice full fasting for long periods of time or fasting only with water. We do advocate Intermittent Fasting which has been proven to be highly effective for weight loss, detoxification and overall health and wellbeing.

Fasting has also been shown to be great for keeping your body from aging at the cellular level – the part of a cell that is called the mitochondria cell.

Our bodies have cells, and within those cells are the mitochondria cells, which basically, are the energy powerhouses of the cells. 90% of energy created by our body is created by the mitochondria cells, be it energy in the brain cells, liver cells or anywhere else.

The mitochondria cell is like a digestive system within our cells, which converts all the food (ie, sugars, fat and protein) we eat into energy the body can use. The mitochondria cell essentially takes the food we eat and creates ATP (adenosine triphosphate) through the ATP synapse (an enzyme), which is like a motor within our cells that spins when positively charged electrons break through the outer membrane of the mitochondria and hits the ATP synapse which causes it to create energy and heat. The heat is how the body burns fat.

Learn simple go-to meditations that you can implement in your own life to curb cravings and say goodbye to stress.

Meditation can be practised anywhere and you do not need to sit in any particular way or practice a specific method at all.

Meditation requires oneself to be mindful of what we are doing, be it walking, painting or watching our breath, or concentrating on some scenery or picture.

Meditation helps us ground ourselves, and be present in the moment.

It’s a way to free our minds from busy thoughts and conflicting emotions.

There is no hard and fast rule as to how long one should meditate. Some people do it for 10 minutes every morning upon waking, or in the evening.

Of course, as we progress in the practice, we can go longer and deeper into our meditation.
