In fact learning how shop, cook and prepare healthy snacks, meals and treats should actually save you money while your overall health and energy improves.

We conduct cooking classes on a variety of cuisines. As part of our program activities, chefs from our resort will show you how to make healthy, simple and delicious meals so you can experiment and perfect them according to your taste at home.

Discover how to prepare popular Balinese and Indonesian dishes, mouth-watering local salads with shallots, pomelos and toasted coconut flakes, and spicy dips. Ever wonder how an authentic coconut curry is prepared? Yes, the chefs will also be able to show you how.

It will be a lot of fun, learning and appreciating the cuisines of Bali and Indonesia.

Healing Massage

Massage practitioners in Bali have been perfecting their art for generations. In fact bodywork dates back thousands of years in Bali with certain varieties hailing from Ubud. Relax into a deep tissue massage and let it all go and just enjoy being pampered as our masseurs and masseuses take care of you.

Massage styles number more than 80 in total and each country or region practices its own specialty massage. Other than styles of massage, the amount of pressure varies and this depends if you are looking for relaxation, relieve symptoms or as part of a strategy to improve your health.

Bali is, of course, the world capital of massage therapy.

Mastering Sleep

A good night’s sleep helps our body restore and rejuvenate, grow muscle, repair tissue, and produce the hormones we need such as ghrelin and leptin, which control feelings of hunger and fullness. Some scientists have sought to link inadequate sleep with increased risk of obesity. Insulin, which is responsible for the regulation of glucose in the blood also changes due to inadequate sleep and can result in an increase in blood sugar level. For this reason, chronic sleep deficiency is also linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.

According to the United States National Library of Medicine, sleep is an important modulator of neuroendocrine function (ie, the release of hormones into the blood after stimulation by a nerve) and glucose metabolism. Sleep loss has been shown to result in metabolic and endocrine alterations, including decreased glucose tolerance, decreased insulin sensitivity, increased evening concentrations of cortisol, increased levels of ghrelin, decreased levels of leptin, and increased hunger and appetite. Recent laboratory tests conducted by scientists have confirmed previous findings of an association between sleep loss and increased risk of obesity.

Simple Meditations

Learn simple go-to meditations that you can implement in your own life to curb cravings and say goodbye to stress.

Meditation can be practised anywhere and you do not need to sit in any particular way or practice a specific method at all.

Meditation requires oneself to be mindful of what we are doing, be it walking, painting or watching our breath, or concentrating on some scenery or picture.

Meditation helps us ground ourselves, and be present in the moment.

It’s a way to free our minds from busy thoughts and conflicting emotions.

There is no hard and fast rule as to how long one should meditate. Some people do it for 10 minutes every morning upon waking, or in the evening.

Of course, as we progress in the practice, we can go longer and deeper into our meditation.

ARMA Art Museum

One of the most famous of Ubud’s art museums is right at your resort ! This museum is an homage to Balinese Artists.

Founded by Agung Rai, the owner of your resort, the museum houses Balinese Arts, many of which have been purchased back by Agung Rai from far and wide, to preserve Balinese culture and art.

There are cultural performances and learning activities for school children of Bali where they learn and deepen the knowledge of their history and culture.

There are many stunning examples of Balinese work from which one can learn much about this unique culture.

Crazy-Fun Evenings

On occasions Ubud comes alive with unique-to-Bali ceremonies and events that will surely take your breath away! And don’t forget the annual Bali Spirit Festival, now in its 11th year, and also the Bali Jazz Festival held at your very resort on 11 and 12 of August this year.

There are many more traditional and international festivals for you to enjoy and which will beckon you back this way again soon.

Campuhan Ridge Walk

Enjoy a walk along the beautiful Campuhan Ridge Walk and take in Ubuds natrual beauty.

This easy trek sits along the narrow spine between the eastern and western branches of Ubud’s Wos Rivers, known as the Campuhan Ridge. The amazing views, authentic village life and fresh air are an anti-dote to sometimes busy Ubud town.

Come rest your eyes on verdant hills and stunning rice terraces, and stretch your legs for a while during this 6 to 8 km easy trek.

On the ridge itself, with Mount Agung as the backdrop (on a clear day), you will want to slow down your pace and take in the wonder of it all.
