This temple was founded around a fresh water spring in 962 AD.

For over a thousand years, Hindus have been coming to Tirta Empul to cleanse and purify their mind and soul.

This is a one of a kind experience where you can participate along with Hindu devotees from all over the world.

Come offer up some flowers as an offering to Indra, the Hindu God that created the spring, and be purified from the blessings bestowed. This famous Balinese temple gets its name from Tirta, meaning holy water, and Empul, meaning gushing.
